We are so excited to kick off 2015 with our 21 Day Challenge.

Beginning Sunday, January 3rd through January 23rd we will kick off the year focusing on the Spirit with scripture reading, the Soul with prayer & fasting and the body with exercise.

Here’s the 21 Day Challenge…

Mind (Spirit)

January 3rd – January 9th

We will read through Acts, Romans, and 1 & 2 Corinthians.

Day 1: Acts 1-11

Day 2: Acts 12-22

Day 3: Acts 23 – Romans 4

Day 4: Romans 5-16

Day 5: 1 Corinthians 1-10

Day 6: 1 Corinthians 11 – 2 Corinthians 3

Day 7: 2 Corinthians 4 – 13

The Bible isn’t a book of morality tales, it’s a guide book for showing us God’s will in our life and for living the best life possible. It shows us who Christ is. It shows us what grace is. It shows us the plan of salvation and the love of God. All these mysteries and more can be found in the Word of God. However, most Christians don’t read their Bible. No wonder we feel so powerless in our spiritual lives. The first seven days will give you a jump start in reading God’s Word. Soul (Prayer and Fasting)

January 10th – January 16th

We will do the Daniel Fast for seven days.

If fasting is a normal part of your spiritual disciplines already, you may choose to do a full or partial fast. As a church, we recommend the Daniel Fast for those who’ve never taken the plunge into the spiritual experience of fasting.

There are many ways to do the Daniel Fast. We recommend keeping it simple by saying for seven days your going to skip breads, meats, and sweets.

The important thing about fasting is to remember why you are doing it. You’re telling your appetites, “No, you’re not in charge.” Instead your humbling yourself before God and saying, “I love you more than I love these things.”


The other important thing to remember about fasting is not to be too hard on yourself if you mess up. Just get back up and go for it again. The important thing is that you do it as much as you can.

Body (Exercise)

January 17th – January 23rd

We will exercise for 20 minutes everyday.

Here are some ideas to make this happen:

>>> Take a 20 minute walk.

(Enjoy the time to pray and thank God for His 

faithfulness in your life.)

>>> Invite a friend walk around the mall with you and

enjoy Christian community.

(Iron sharpens iron)

“My hope is as you begin with week one, you will be so enriched by the increase of Bible reading you’ll carry it over to week two. The same then will go for your fasting and increased prayer. Finally we’ll end the 21 Day Challenge on January 23rd with a great start to an amazing year. Lets join together and seek God with great expectations.  I believe God is going to do great things in your life in 2016!”

Have you been doing the 21 Day Challenge for a couple years now and ready for something more? If so, this one is for you. During the 21 Day Super Challenge we incorporate all three every day for the full 21 days. 

Here’s the Plan>>>

>>> SPIRIT- Read Psalms 1-150

>>> SOUL– 21 Daniel Fast (No meat, no sweets, no bread)

>>> BODY– 20 minutes of exercise every day.

If you make the decision to do this challenge, you’re in for a wonderful experience. You will get closer to God than you ever have before. Here are a couple suggestions to help you get the most out of this experience>>>

>>> Keep a journal to record all God speaks to you.

>>> Tell someone so they can help you when it gets tough.

>>> Plan ahead. One of the biggest challenges to doing a prolonged commitment like this is time. Make plans for when you will carve out time to read God’s Word, exercise, and do meal planning.
